THE PRIESTS LEAP RACES CLEAR IN MAIDEN HURDLE

Arthur Moore described THE PRIESTS LEAP as “a decent horse,” after his charge made all to win the Derrygrath Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.

Third on debut in a bumper, the promising chesnut came into the race with another three placings over hurdles and was sent off favourite for Tuesday’s two mile contest. Jumping well throughout, he had a clear advantage approaching the second last and kept on strongly to win by 11 lengths.

Moore later confirmed that the son of Flemensfirth, who is owned by Dargle Equine, will now head over fences.

The Priests Leap was sold Limekiln Stud on behalf of Killeen Glebe at the Goffs Landrover Sale for €38,000 to Kevin Ross Bloodstock.
