Kyntara Follows Up In Fine Style At Aintree
Kyntara followed up last month’s impressive return to action with a commanding victory at Aintree on Saturday.
The Mel Rowley-trained bay carried top-weight in the Novices’ Handicap Hurdle following his 13 length win on his first start of the season. Reunited with Charlie Deutsch at Aintree, he made all of the running and kept on well to draw clear from the final flight. Ridden out, he led by seven lengths on the line.
Kyntara is now two from two for Rowley, who later said, “Kyntara came to us having lost his way and we took him right back to basics. We thought we might have done that at Lingfield but then you’ve got to follow that up. We know he goes in the soft, and he seemed to love it.”
Kyntara began his career with Rowley, for whom he impressed in a maiden at Bishops Court, and went on to bolt up on rules debut for Kim Bailey. The son of Kayf Tara was sold by Killeen Glebe via Limekiln Stud at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale to Highflyer Bloodstock and is now owned by Lady Dulverton.
