GODOT GAINS DESERVED WIN
Monday saw Killeen Glebe graduate GODOT run out an impressive winner of the maiden hurdle at Plumpton.
The Andy Irvine-trained chesnut had previously placed in a bumper and in three hurdle races, including at Class 2 level, and was sent off favourite to gain a deserved win. Stan Sheppard rode the son of Getaway prominently and led from two out, before drawing clear to score by seven lengths.
Owned by Taylor and O’Dwyer, Godot was bought by Peter and Ross Doyle from Killeen Glebe via Limekiln Stud. The improving six-year-old was bought by Killeen Glebe with Kevin Ross as a foal.
