BACK TO BACK WINS FOR GODOT
GODOT followed up last month’s deserved maiden victory by justifying strong market support at Kempton on Monday.
The Andy Irvine-trained chesnut placed in a bumper and in three hurdles before running out a seven length winner of a maiden hurdle last time out. Ridden by Stan Sheppard once again at Kempton, he raced prominently for much of the race and was shaken up to challenge approaching the second last. Leading before the final flight, he kept on well on the run-in to win by a length and a half.
Godot was sold by Killeen Glebe via Limekiln Stud at the Goffs Land Rover Sale, where he was bought by Peter and Ross Doyle. The son of Getaway is now owned by Taylor and O’Dwyer.
