ANOTHER SMART 4YO WINNER FOR KILLEEN GLEBE
ELUSIVE PRINCE became Killeen Glebe’s second debut winner in two days when landing the four-year-old maiden at Dawstown on Sunday.
The Pat Doyle-trained newcomer was settled in mid-division by Pa King and improved to chase the leaders approaching three out. Asserting before the final fence, he kept on well to beat the long-time leader by two lengths.
Elusive Prince is owned by Robert Finnegan, who plans to send the smart prospect to Henry de Bromhead next season. Killeen Glebe sold the bay to de Bromhead at the Derby Sale, having bought the son of Elusive Pimpernel as a foal with Kevin Ross.
Killeen Glebe consigned two stores at last year’s Derby Sale and both are now debut winners of four-year-old maidens.
